Last weekend, the Balan clan celebrated the 90th birthday of the their family matriarch, Bernarda, or as most of them affectionately refer to her as, "Lola". Gathering at the Rail @ Delaware Park were cousins, daughters, sons, and grandchildren of all ages. The afternoon was filled Christmas carolers, performances by her grandchildren, and a stirring video tribute. The Balan family laughed, cried, but most of all, celebrated an incredible 90 years of life.
